Laurie Falvo Dressage

Kasey Rowe -
USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist

I grew up in Chatsworth, California. My mother, who is the accomplished dressage trainer, Kym Frazier, shared her love for horses and riding with me. She cleverly designed and created a "seat belt" of sorts so that I could stay on my wild pony. This only fed the addiction to the saddle life and I have never wavered.  While growing up, I was a member of the United States Pony Club. My experiences in Pony Club cemented a strong foundation in many disciplines and very importantly, taught me good horsemanship. I took my very first "official" dressage lesson with Hilda Gurney when I was 8 years old and instantly fell in love with the sport.

In 2011, I began to travel to San Diego for monthly training sessions with Laurie Falvo. Nearly a year and several more trips later, an opportunity opened for me to become Laurie's assistant trainer... What a magic moment!  With this opportunity, I have trained and ridden many incredible horses and have achieved my bronze and silver medals in 2014.  My current horse, Quisquillosa Jocha (or Quissa as she is known around the barn) and I are competing at Prix St. Georges and Intermediate 1.

As a passionate student of all aspects of dressage, I enjoy training in and out of the saddle, going to competitions, and everything in between.  I look forward to continuing my education and competitive career in the professional and friendly atmosphere at Dove Hollow Dressage and are happily accepting new clients for training!
